The morning of 16th October 2025 began with a mix of excitement and anticipation as we prepared to showcase our creations at the Globsyn Business School Exhibition in Kolkata. Boxes of handmade crochet dolls, earrings, and other crafted treasures were carefully unpacked and arranged at our stall each piece telling its own story of patience, creativity, and love for the art of handmade work.
As the exhibition began, the vibrant energy of the crowd filled the air. Students, faculty, and visitors stopped by, curious to explore the colorful world of crochet that adorned our table. Many were amazed to see the variety of items from intricate dolls to playful keychains and elegant earrings all crafted by hand with care and precision. Conversations flowed easily as people shared their appreciation for the time, effort, and artistry that go into every single piece.
By midday, we could already feel the buzz building around our stall. One by one, our creations found new homes, and before we knew it, 95% of our products were sold out. The joy of seeing our work being appreciated was beyond words. It wasn’t just about the sales; it was about witnessing people connect with the essence of handmade art the imperfections, the textures, and the stories behind each creation.
The exhibition turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences in our journey so far. It reminded us why Tenderly Handmade exists to celebrate Indian art and the artisans who keep these traditions alive through their skill and creativity.
As we packed up at the end of the day, tired but overjoyed, we carried with us not just empty boxes but hearts full of gratitude. To everyone who stopped by, supported us, and believed in our work thank you for making this day so special.
